Introduction:

Motor vehicle headlamps safety testing is an important factor to ensure traffic safety. All countries in the world have strict test requirements on motor vehicle headlamps. In our country, with the development of science and technology and industrialization, transportation becomes more and more important.

   Headlamps are mainly used for motor vehicle lighting at night, its brightness and direction of radiation for driving safety is essential. All headlights should be illuminated at night at the same time. The driver should be able to see the performance of traffic obstacles within a distance of 100 meters in front. The illumination beam should meet the direction of quasi-vehicle. The direction of the main optical axis should be lower.

Insufficient luminous intensity of the headlamps or improper irradiation direction can not be clearly seen in the front or can cause glare to the driver in the oncoming car as a factor in the accident. In order to reduce traffic accidents and ensure traffic safety, the headlights of motor vehicles must be properly adjusted before leaving the factory. The test of headlamps must be made regular and systematic. To this end, the state decided to implement GB7258-2012 "Technical Conditions for Safety Operation of Motor Vehicles" and GB18565-2012 "Comprehensive Performance Requirements for Operating Vehicles" in the whole country, which stipulated the luminous intensity, irradiation position and test method of headlamps China's vehicle inspection system gradually on track.

SV-D5T motor vehicle headlight tester (hereinafter referred to as the instrument) is used to detect the luminous intensity of motor vehicle headlamps and the beam irradiation position (ie optical axis offset). Applicable to the motor vehicle testing station, automobile manufacturing, repair units of motor vehicle headlamps for detection and adjustment.

The instrument uses advanced optical system structure, can be seized headlamps light distribution characteristics displayed on the instrument screen for easy observation and adjustment, and determination of luminous intensity and optical axis offset (horizontal and vertical direction) of the various parameters.
